Last year, I wanted to make myself a flashy, inlaid watch. While I had done lots of inlaid cuffs, this was my first watch. It proved to be a real challenge because the top had to be flat to house the watch face AND the sides had to be curved. My husband helped me but after some foul language and working slowly, it worked out great! I vowed I would never make another. However, when you wear flashy jewelry, people often comment and then want to know if you will make one for them. My first answer was NO! This is the first and last one. One particular customer persevered and so now I find myself making the 2nd one. BUT, this one is going much easier and we learned from our mistakes in making the first one. So, all the old adages apply....practice makes perfect, if at first you don't succeed, try again and the list goes on. Don't be afraid to try new challenges in jewelry making or in life. Happy 2019!!!! BTW, these are available as a custom order to fit your wrist. Visit my website at http://peggyhouchin.com/custom-inquiries. #peggyhouchinjewelry #jewelrymaking #customjewelry #blog
